Managing Sinusitis: What You Can Do at Home

Sinusitis is inflammation of the sinuses that often follows a cold. Symptoms include facial pressure, a blocked nose, reduced smell and a discharge from the nose.

Simple measures such as staying well hydrated, using saline nasal rinses, applying a warm compress to the face and resting can help ease mild symptoms.

See a specialist if symptoms last more than 10 to 14 days, keep returning, are accompanied by severe pain or swelling, or if you notice a lasting change in your sense of smell.

This information is general in nature. For a personal assessment, please arrange a consultation.
